How To Create A Property Prospect
One of PaTMa's distinguishable features is its extension compatibility with Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. It's prospect property management tool, allows you to browse local property sites such as Zoopla and Rightmove and access information such as previous price history, therefore minimising your opportunity costs.
There are two ways that one can create a property prospect.
1. From Property Tools Browser Extension
Now that you've signed up for PaTMa, it's time to check out the full extent of their Browser Extension Tool. This feature allows you to minimise any time losses and integrates all your prospects from different property sites onto the cloud, keeping all your new prospects in one place and helping to keep track of any changes. 2. From Property Prospector
Alternatively, you can transfer all your documented prospects into PaTMa manually easily and with no issues. The process is quite similar to the above, but has a different starting point.
- First, login to your PaTMa account and locate Prospector.
This is located in the header, as shown in the image below.
- On the left hand side, find the navigation section Prospects and click Add New.
You will be redirected to a page titled Store a Property Prospect which contains a form that must be filled in with the property's related information.
Filling In The Form
Source URL
This field can be filled in with the prospective property's URL, such as a Zoopla or Rightmove property website address. Next, click Fetch Values to get the property values transferred from the property website onto the form.
Your Label
In this field, enter the name you wish to identify the property with (i.e. One-Bedroom Apartment, Swords).
Note: If you have clicked Fetch Values in the Source URL field, then this field may be automatically be filled in the with the property's address as a suggestion.
Asking Price
Enter the asking price being advertised on the site in relation to the property.
Note: This field may be automatically filled in if you have clicked Fetch Values in the Source URL field.
Property Type
A selection of property types will be presented (i.e. Bungalow, Apartment, Land etc.). Using the dropdown menu, select the best description of the property.
Tenure
Using the dropdown menu, select the best fitting tenure for the property (i.e. leasehold, freehold).
Bedrooms
Enter the number of bedrooms within the property.
Bathrooms
Enter the number of bathrooms within the property.
EPC Rating
Using the dropdown menu, select the rating that best relates to the property.
Address
Start entering the address in the Address Line 1 field and suitable suggestions can be chosen from a drop-down list. Alternatively, click Enter Address Manually to show additional address fields for completion.
Postcode
In this field, enter the property's postcode. This may be automatically added into the form. These are the brief series of letters and numbers that follow the address. It is necessary for the postcode to align with the address inserted above. If unsure, you may use resources like the Postcode Finder to verify it.
Notes
If you wish to record any additional details that do not fit into any of the fields above, enter the information into this field.
Tags
This feature allows you to easily search your prospect properties in the future by using tags. For example, you could use the property type, location and an idea such as Tiny House Project. Use a space/comma to separate each tag in this field.
Rule Out
This option marks the prospect as being not suitable or not being considered.
No Longer Available
This option marks the prospect as being no longer available on the property market.
Financial Notes
If you wish to record any financial details that do not fit into any of the fields above, enter the information into this field.
- Once completed, click Create Prospect to save the prospect.
