Set Up Open Banking

Overview

PatMa supports Open Banking, which allows you to link your business bank account and automatically import transasctions into PatMa. With Open Banking enabled, you can quickly manage expenses and income, and PatMa includes some smart features to try to match rtelevant transactiohns (for example an expense with an associated payment).

To get started with Open Banking you'll need to add a bank account. This should be a business account - preferably one you only use for your property portfolio!

Please don't link your personal bank account even if you sometimes have business expenses coming out of it - PaTMa will be sent all transactions from any linked banked account.

You can get to the Bank Feed from the left hand menu, or click here.

Click Add bank account in the top right of the screen.

You'll need to add your account information, but first, select the name of the bank and choose whether you want to import older transactions, or only transactions made subsequent to linking the account.

Using the Bank Feed

After adding a feed, your Bank Feed will show the account you linked.

You can view a list of transactions by clicking Transactions, or edit the account by clicking the pencil icon.

Banking transactions have their own actions associated with them, which are covered in more detail here (doc coming soon).

Briefly, you can choose for each payment to record it as an expense or income for one of your properties by clicking the arrow icon. you can also hide the transaction entirely by clicking the X, or allocate between multiple properties or expenses with the squares icon.
